Liu Kuo-sung elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences

On 20 April 2016, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences announced newly appointed members. Among the 213 new members, Liu Kuo-sung is the first from Taiwan in the field of arts and humanities. Previous Chinese members from different fields include Hu Shih, Samuel C. C. Ting and Lee Yuan Tseh. The presentation ceremony this year will take place at the headquarters of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on October 8th in Massachusetts.
