Liu Kuo-sung Awards Order of Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon
President Ma Ying-jeou presented Order of Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon awards to eight important cultural figures on May Fourth in recognition of their contribution and dedication. Recipients include:
Kao Shi-chun, Chairman of Commonwealth Publishing Group
Tu Chung-kao, Associate Professor of National Taiwan Normal University and renowned calligrapher
Liu Feng-hsueh, Director of Neo-Classical Dance Company
Chuang Tso-jin, senior media worker
Wang Chin Shuang, renowned preserver of traditional applied culture and arts
Hsiao Chin, renowned artist
Tseng Yung-yi, academician of Academia Sinica, Distinguished Professor of National Taiwan University and Professor of Shih Hsin University
Liu Kuo-sung, renowned ink artist
President Ma recognized Liu Kuo Sung’s promotion and revolution of modern ink art, and his reputation as “The father of Modern Ink Art".
