Liu Kuo-sung’s Work Exhibited in The Birth of the Modernist Art Movement in Taiwan at the National Museum of History

In 2024, the National Museum of History reopened after renovations and launched a special exhibition titled The Birth of Modernist Art Movement in Taiwan, held at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute.

For this exhibition, the museum specially selected Liu Kuo-sung’s 1970 artwork, Midnight Sun, to be showcased. Additionally, one of the oral history series films produced by the Liu Kuo-sung Foundation, titled Liu Kuo-sung and The Fifth Moon Group, was screened. The film presents Liu Kuo-sung's perspective on the founding and development of The Fifth Moon Group and its role in the emergence of the modern art movement in Taiwan during the 1950s and 60s.
